Masks are probably one of the things I have a love/hate relationship with! I take really good care of my skin and rarely wear makeup to bed or even more then a few hours after I get home. I’m always using serums, oils, moisturizers, and all sorts of stuff. However, when it comes to masks I usually don’t want to take the time to actually apply and let it sit long enough. However, I also notice the biggest results when I do use them.
For years, I have used the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel and always loved it, as well as many other hydrating masks. However, I have been dipping my toe into the clay mask category more lately. Especially the powdered ones that you add your own water to to create the consistency that of a mask.
I was super excited when I received the Herbivore Blue Clay mask for Christmas this year as I haven’t tried their products other then their Charcoal Soap. This mask is great as I tend to have little bit of acne always hanging around and it helps detoxify the skin.
If you have ever used the aztec clay mask you will know that your skin is often left very red and looks super irritated, even though it is just because the drying of the mask. Thankfully, for those of us who have sensitive skin that gets irritated by lots of harsh chemicals Herbivore’s Blue Clay is very gentle on the skin, but also powerful clearing out the skin!
