A few months ago, Daily Harvest was in town and my friend Kate invited me to go to an event with her. It was a small event with just a few girls and we got to try a few of their soups and sundaes. I was super impressed and thought it would make my life at work so much easier, so I ordered a box. And of course, I had to share my thoughts and experiences with you. If you don’t know what Daily Harvest is, it is a pre-made soup, smoothie, sundae, overnight oats, or chia puddings that come frozen and you either add liquid to and either heat up or blend into a smoothie. All the ingredients are already there in the container and I personally love how easy this had made healthy work lunches.
I had my first box delivered directly to my office so that I could save a few of them there and then take the rest home. They came in a fairly large box packaged with dry ice and in a cooler like bag. My box included soups, smoothies, sundaes, and overnight oats. For the first time, I wanted to try out several different types and then edit my box as I found my preferences. Which is exactly what I did!
My first box included the following –
- 1x Cin Protein Banana Overnight Oats
- 1x Acai & Cherry Smoothie
- 1x Apple & Greens Smoothie
- 1x Banana & Greens Smoothie
- 1x Chocolate & Blueberry Smoothie
- 2x Coconut & Carrot Soup
- 4x Lentil & Mesquite Chili Soup
- 4x Tomato & Zucchini Soup
- 4x Chocolate Hazelnut Sundae
- 5x Salted Caramel Sundae
I have to say that the soups are probably what I eat through mostly because I take them to work and have them for my lunches. Of the soups, the Chili is my favorite overall followed by the coconut curry. I ordered way too many Sundaes for how I eat. I probably should have only ordered 4 of those instead of 9. I have had a couple boxes since this one and I have adjusted my order accordingly.
The only downside to ordering so 24 at a time, is that I have limited freezer space and my freezer is quite packed as soon as these arrive. However, if you are like me and have a month where you are eating out more you might need to skip a month.
