Skincare is super important in keeping our skin clean and avoid those nasty breakouts. Now if we lived in a perfect world we wouldn’t need to care do so much for our skin, but because we are constantly using chemicals in our makeup as well as the crappy food we eat, we are needing a little extra care. I’ve switched most of my products to clean and green, but I still have a few products to finish using first before replacing them. Here is the products I am using and why I am using them.
Makeup Remover and Face Cleanser
It is extremely important to remove and cleanse our face at the end of the day. It is even more important if you use products that are filled with toxins and chemicals. I use the RMS Beauty Coconut Cream at the end of each day. Using a small amount I massage it into my face. It literally melts the makeup right off my face along with the most stubborn mascara. To remove the coconut oil from my face I use a hot wash cloth and gently exfoliate my face with it. There will be a small amount of coconut oil left, but coconut oil is full of anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties so the residue that is left will be good for your skin.
This is the newest addition to my skincare routine. Toners are really good for helping return your skins balance to normal. Now I don’t know how this quiet affecting my skin quiet yet, but from everything I have been reading, this should help my skin remain balanced and help fight my acne.
Because I am fighting some hyper pigmentation left over from some bad acne I have been fighting, I am using the Eminence Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster-Serum. I have noticed a huge difference when I use this serum every night. Those hyper pigmentation is slowly fading but fading much quicker when I use this serum. If you aren’t fighting hyper pigmentation spots like I am, you can use Evan Healy Pomegranate Serum if you are fighting sun damage, sensitive skin, or dehydrated skin, or Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum to help with dry skin.
I have gone back and forth using different spot treatments on my acne. DōTERRA Melaleuca, has worked the best and is one of the cleanest ways to fight acne. You can use Melaleuca directly on the skin without fear of burning your skin, unlike other essential oils. I drop a bit of it onto a q-tip and then spread over my acne spots. It does dry the acne out a bit but works wonders!
A lot of people are afraid to use oil on their skin, especially afraid to leave it on their skin. I only use Rosehip oil at night, because it is too oily for under foundation. Rosehip oil is great for all skin! It is full of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamin e. All things that are great for the skin no matter what type of skin you have.
Now this is the only thing in my skincare routine that isn’t green or chemical free. Once this container is gone I will be switching to a new brand but for right now I am using the Tula Hydrating Day and Night Cream. It isn’t the best moisturizer, but if you are looking for a clean moisturizers try one of these: Eminence Organics Coconut Age Corrective Moisturizer or Dr. Hauschka Revitalizing Day Cream.
